CVVC are a rapidly growing venture capital firm at the forefront of a Swiss government initiative to integrate cryptocurrency into their economy. They approached me to design their upcoming Swiss blockchain market report, including cover illustration and a reusable template to set the visual style for future reports.
CVVC’s previous reports were utilitarian, with functional layouts and colour limited to dark blue. The new report was part of a marketing push to establish thought leadership, so was a chance to create a more vibrant and expressive system while staying true to the master brand.

Delivery
I drew on the logo and sub-brands which were built on systematic arrangements of rectangles and squares. For the cover illustration, I pushed this motif into 3D, a direction that went on to define later report covers. Meanwhile, layouts emphasised linear alignment and bold graphic elements in a vibrant purple from the secondary palette. They also required bespoke data visualisation, from simple timelines to quantitative charts and flow diagrams.
All layouts balanced expressive design with practical usability. They were pre-set and automated for internal use, and handed over with written and visual guidance.
