Hits Radio

At Thinkfarm I developed a brand refresh of Bauer Media’s Hits Radio station.  They wanted to re-focus on the listening experience of their audience of mid- to early-millennials in the midst of adult life. The strategy highlighted how Hits Radio into their real lives, providing an injection of energy and fun into the everyday.




Visual system

The visuals were an evolution of the previous Hits brand. The logo was redrawn to foreground the word ‘Hits’ over ‘radio’, and made more adaptable to different formats. The colour palette was stripped down to three vibrant primary colours. The angles present in the logo informed the creation of a set of ‘zig zag’ graphic elements, getting at that ‘buzz’ of life that listeners get from Hits Radio.





Campaign

We concepted, wrote, art-directed, and produced a nationwide campaign featuring presenters, Sam Thompson, Fleur East, and Gemma Atkinson engaging with listeners across the country, putting out a call to the UK to ‘Turn it up!’

A central prop in these films was the ‘Hits Rickshaw,’ which I mocked up, designed, and artworked within a tight turnaround.
