Hits Radio
branding, logo design, prop design
This was a brand refresh for Bauer Media’s Hits Radio station, with the objective of refocusing on the listening experience of its audience—mid- to early-millennials navigating adult life. The strategy emphasized how Hits Radio integrates into their daily routines, providing an injection of energy and fun. The team included Mark Norton as Creative Director, with myself and Maria Olesczuk handling graphic design, and Nigel Coan and Zoe Prosser working on motion graphics.

Visual system
To highlight the word “Hits” as the most active and engaging element of the brand name, we redrew the logo . After exploring multiple variants, I refined the final shape to ensure legibility and consistency.I played a primary role in brand development, creating key graphic elements. This included typography, systematizing the use of weight variants for usability and consistency. I developed a zig-zag pattern designed to represent the brand’s core idea of injecting energy into everyday life. This pattern derived closely from the core elements of the logo.
Additionally, I wrote and produced the brand guidelines, and directly contributed to rollout on app screens and an advertising campaign.

Campaign
I contributed to the development of the campaign, working on static advertisement layouts and designing the Hits Rickshaw, which transported the station’s three star DJs to their destinations. Within a tight turnaround, I was responsible for mock-ups, design, and artwork production.
